Firstly, let’s address the elephant in the room. Yes, Tudor watches are THICK. Tudor knows, we know, you know. HOWEVER, unlike the Black Bay range, this model features titanium in the case rather than just steel, shaving off approximately 10% of the weight (on paper; in real life it feels even lighter than you’d think!). As a result, the Pelagos is surprisingly comfortable to wear and the size is much less of a concern than in it’s younger, steelier brothers.
More importantly, let’s talk about the bracelet - arguably one of the best in the industry, especially the clasp. The bracelet itself follows the Rolex Oyster style with very small gaps between the links for added breathability.
The clasp on the other hand is an absolute dream, three layers of adjustment with no tools needed! Undo the safety catch, remove the watch and just pull down gently on the bracelet much like you would with a Rolex GlideLock. Three notches of fixed adjustment which itself is very adequate, followed by another half-clasp of spring-loaded dynamic adjustment which will flex as you wear the watch.
