My name’s James Robin, and I’m a lifelong watch enthusiast turned professional watch specialist. Like many collectors, my journey began with trading watches to fund the next exciting piece, and it quickly became a passion that shaped my life.

The story truly began in December 2012, when I inherited my late grandfather’s watch. My curiosity about its history led me deep into the world of horology. Shortly after, I purchased an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch, and from there, my fascination with watches only grew.

In 2021, after the loss of a close friend, I decided to focus on something I truly cared about. Launching Robin Henry Watches brought together years of personal experience and a lifelong obsession with mechanical timepieces. The name reflects my family roots, and the goal has always been simple: to offer great watches and share that passion with others.

What began as an e-commerce platform quickly became Guernsey’s first and only dedicated specialist for vintage and neo-vintage luxury watches. My aim has always been to build a watch community in the Channel Islands and beyond, sharing pieces with real history and character. My focus and passion is on rare and vintage watches, with a particular love for neo-vintage Rolex and Cartier models.

That journey took a major step forward in June 2025, when Robin Henry Watches opened its first physical location inside the beautifully curated Martin & Martin boutique at 30 High Street, St Peter Port, Guernsey. The boutique gives customers the opportunity to experience watches in person along side beuatifully curated jewellery, with private appointments available and in-store service every Saturday, when I’m personally on hand.

The new location is more than just a retail space, it’s a natural extension of everything I’ve built so far. It allows me to offer the same curated selection, competitive pricing, and personal attention, now with a welcoming space in the heart of Guernsey. Whether you’re a serious collector or simply curious, it’s a place to explore, learn, and enjoy.
